Lead Quality Assurance Tester (Chennai)

We are looking for a QA Tester with strong automation skills and solid manual testing experience. You will be responsible for building and maintaining automated test suites, as well as performing hands-on testing to ensure stable, high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications
Build CI-friendly automation that can run as part of the deployment pipeline
Execute manual test cases for new features, regression, and release validation
Identify, document, and track bugs with transparent steps, impact, and priority
Work closely with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and test scenarios
Create and maintain test cases, test data, and test documentation
Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and QA sign-off for releases
Continuously improve test coverage, reliability, and execution speed

Required Skills and Experience
2 to 4 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Test Automation Engineer
Strong experience in automation testing with coding in at least one language, for example, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python
Hands-on experience with at least one test automation framework, for example,



Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar
Good understanding of manual testing practices, including functional, regression, and integration testing
Experience with bug tracking tools and workflows, for example, JIRA
Familiarity with CI tools and integrating automated tests into pipelines
Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and structured problem-solving

Nice to Have
Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman or automated API test frameworks
Exposure to performance or load testing tools
Experience testing React or Next.js-based applications
Basic understanding of SQL and working with databases during testing

Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an initial technical and experience screening
Final selection will be based on a direct in-person interview and practical discussion on test scenarios and automation approach

Location : On-site at Elatre office (Perungudi, Chennai)
Experience : 2 to 4 years
Working days : Monday to Saturday
Shift timing : 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
