Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineering Tech Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable data platforms on Google Cloud Platform. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with solution ownership, team guidance, and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data engineering solution design and delivery on GCP
• Architect and oversee scalable data pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer
• Define and govern data transformation standards using dbt
• Review and optimize SQL and Python code for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Provide technical leadership across multiple data engineering workstreams
• Mentor and guide L2/L3 engineers; conduct design and code reviews
• Collaborate with architects, product owners,



and business stakeholders
• Drive engineering best practices, standards, and continuous improvement

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–12 years of experience in data engineering or related roles
• Strong hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Deep experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and dbt
• Solid understanding of cloud-native data architectures and ELT/ETL patterns
• Proven experience leading teams and owning complex data solutions
• Ability to balance hands-on development with technical leadership
