About the Role
AP Guru is launching a new Artificial Intelligence education program for high school students. We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader to design, build, and lead this initiative from the ground up.
This role begins with developing a 25-hour beginner AI curriculum for students in grades 11–12 with no prior computer science background. Over time, the successful candidate will expand the program to include advanced AI courses for students with prior CS knowledge and will become the long-term Head of the AI Program at AP Guru.

Key Responsibilities:

Phase 1: Curriculum Development (Initial Focus)
* Design and build a complete 25-hour beginner AI curriculum for high school students with no prior CS background

Develop:
Lesson plans and learning objectives
Coding exercises and Jupyter/Colab notebooks
Capstone project framework and templates
Assessments and rubrics
Teacher implementation guides

Ensure curriculum is:
Beginner-friendly and engaging
Project-based with tangible student outcomes
Ethically responsible and aligned with college readiness
Select and standardize tools and platforms (Python, notebooks, ML libraries, datasets)

Phase 2: Program Leadership & Growth
* Lead and own the AI program at AP Guru
* Design advanced AI curriculum for students with prior CS experience
* Recruit, train, and manage instructors/mentors as the program scales
* Oversee quality and consistency of instruction
* Continuously improve curriculum based on student feedback and outcomes
* Collaborate with leadership on:
* Program strategy




* Student experience
* Branding and positioning of the AI program
* Represent AP Guru’s AI program internally and externally

Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
* Passionate about AI and education
* Entrepreneurial and self-driven
* Comfortable building things from scratch
* Excited to take ownership of a new program
* Able to switch between strategy and hands-on execution

Required Qualifications:
* Strong background in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (academic or industry)
* Proficiency in Python and at least one ML framework (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar)
* Experience teaching, mentoring, or developing educational content
* Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to beginners
* Strong organizational and leadership skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience designing curriculum or instructional programs
* Prior experience in EdTech, tutoring, or education startups
* Experience working with high school or undergraduate students
* Familiarity with Jupyter Notebook, Google Colab, and GitHub
* Experience leading or managing a small team
* Entrepreneurial or startup experience

* Program assessment and evaluation systems
This will become a flagship new offering at AP Guru.
