Assistant Professor of Practice and Academic Coordinator - Employment Readiness, Career Skills & Ind (Hyderabad)

Core Responsibilities
1. Academic Delivery of Career & Professional Skills
Design and deliver credit-bearing or mandatory modules on:
Professional communication and workplace behaviour
Interview readiness, assessment centres, and case performance
Industry expectations, ethics, and accountability
Contextualise content for:
Business domains (consulting, finance, marketing, analytics, entrepreneurship)
Technology domains (software, AI, data, product, engineering roles)
2. Industry Alignment within Academic Programs
Work with Program Chairs to align:
Course outcomes with industry skill expectations
Assessments with real-world performance standards
Translate employer feedback into curriculum and pedagogy inputs .
3. Student Readiness & Coaching
Conduct readiness diagnostics by cohort and program.
Provide structured coaching on:
Career pathways
Qualified conduct
Skill gaps and improvement plans
Identify high-potential students for advanced industry tracks .
4. Faculty Collaboration
Support faculty in embedding applied industry perspectives into courses.
Assist in integrating:
Live projects
Industry case studies
Practitioners’ inputs into teaching
5. Industry Engagement (Academic Interface)
Coordinate academic-industry interactions such as:
Guest lectures




Practitioner workshops
Industry-led labs or simulations
Support (not replace) the central placement office with academic readiness inputs .
6. Accreditation & Quality Assurance Support
Contribute to AACSB / EFMD / NBA documentation related to:
Assurance of Learning (AoL)
Graduate employability
Industry engagement
Maintain academic evidence of skills delivery and outcomes.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential
Master’s degree in:
Business / Management (for School of Business role) or
Technology / Engineering / Computer Science / Data Science (for School of Technology role)
6–10 years of relevant experience in:
Industry roles or
Academic–industry interface roles
Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and coach students.
Desirable
Prior experience as Professor of Practice / Adjunct / Industry Trainer .
Exposure to hiring, talent development, or early-career training.
Familiarity with accreditation frameworks and outcome-based education.
