Design and 1st principle calculations for complete air intake systems, including ducts, filters, manifolds, and associated components.
Develop 3D CAD models and detailed drawings following company and industry standards.
Ensure optimal airflow performance, pressure drop, and acoustic quality through system-level design.
Interpret CFD analysis to evaluate airflow, pressure losses, and turbulence.
Interpret FEA analyses structural integrity, vibration, and thermal performance.
Collaborate with testing teams to plan and execute prototype builds.
Analyze test data (flow bench results, filtration efficiency, temperature/pressure measurements, etc.).
Refine designs based on testing feedback and validate compliance with specifications.
Work closely with powertrain engineers, vehicle packaging teams, suppliers, and manufacturing engineers.
Participate in design reviews, DFMEAs, DFA, DFS, DFM and problem-solving activities.
Support sourcing and supplier evaluations for key components.
Prepare technical documentation including BOMs, test reports, and design justifications.
Ensure designs meet performance, emissions, durability, manufacturing, and regulatory standards.
Follow change management and configuration control processes.
