We’re Hiring: Sr. Finance Associate (U.S. Accounting)

Location: Chennai ( WFO - 5 days )
Work Mode: Full-time
Experience Required: 8–11 Years

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Sr. Finance Associate to join our growing Finance team. This role supports U.S.-based accounting operations and is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, taxation, payroll, and compliance , who thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting operations for U.S.-based clients or internal U.S. entities
Handle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
Prepare and support U.S. corporate tax filings, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP, IRS guidelines, and statutory requirements
Process U.S. payroll accurately and manage all related compliance activities
Support month-end and year-end close processes and prepare financial reports
Maintain well-organized and accurate financial documentation and records
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, U.S. CPA firms, and auditors to resolve queries
Assist in budgeting, cost accounting, and policy implementation
Handle banking activities and ensure strong internal controls
Proactively identify discrepancies and support audit readiness

✅ Must-Have Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Hands-on experience in U.S. accounting and taxation
Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IRS regulations, and compliance




Experience with tools such as QuickBooks, Gusto, Rippling, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or similar)
Proven expertise in U.S. payroll processing, sales tax filings, and state-wise compliance
Experience handling multi-entity financial reporting
High attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity
Strong communication skills for collaboration with global teams
Willingness to work during U.S. business hours (night/flexible shifts)
Strong sense of ethics, confidentiality, and ownership
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities

⭐ Good to Have (Preferred)
Experience working with U.S. CPA firms or outsourced accounting providers
Certification in U.S. Accounting and Taxation
Exposure to process improvements and cost optimization initiatives
Strong Excel and analytical skills (budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis)
Familiarity with audit controls and financial data security best practices
