Role Overview
A law firm is seeking an Associate Partner to strengthen its Banking & Finance practice in Delhi. The role is suited for a senior transactional lawyer with the ability to independently lead complex financing matters, manage client relationships, and contribute to practice growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions, including: Project finance, Structured and acquisition finance, Asset and infrastructure finance, Refinancing and debt restructuring
Independently draft, review, and negotiate sophisticated financing and security documentation
Advise clients on transaction structuring, regulatory considerations, and risk mitigation
Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, lenders, and counterparties
Supervise, mentor,



and review work of associates and senior associates
Coordinate transaction timelines, negotiations, and closings
Support business development initiatives, including client pitches, proposal preparation, and relationship building
Work closely with partners to expand the Banking & Finance practice in the Delhi office
Requirements
Typically 10–12 years of post-qualification experience in Banking & Finance at a law firm
Proven experience handling transactions independently end-to-end
Solid command over financing documentation and security creation
Sound understanding of Indian banking, finance, and regulatory frameworks
Established client-handling and negotiation capabilities
Prior experience mentoring junior team members
