Position: Deputy Planning Engineer – Solar Power Plant
Location: Jaisalmer (Rajasthan)
Experience: 3-8 Years
Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. (Engineering)

Role Overview:

The Deputy Planning Engineer will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control activities for solar power plant projects. The role involves developing detailed schedules, tracking project progress, preparing MIS reports, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Scheduling

Prepare L1, L2, and L3 project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables in coordination with engineering, procurement, and project management teams.
Develop baseline schedules and update them periodically based on site progress.
Monitor critical paths, float analysis, and schedule variances.

Project Monitoring & Control

Track project progress against approved schedules and identify deviations.
Identify potential risks, constraints, and opportunities affecting timelines and project outcomes.
Propose recovery plans and mitigation strategies to minimize delays.
Update and maintain L2/L3 schedules based on site execution feedback.

MIS & Reporting





Prepare and submit Weekly & Monthly MIS Reports, including:
Progress Reports
Exception Reports
S-Curves
Cash Flow Reports
Establish and maintain a robust monitoring and reporting system for effective project control.
Provide accurate progress data to management and stakeholders.

Coordination & Communication

Coordinate closely with Site Execution, Projects, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, Safety, Admin, and Customers.
Ensure alignment between planning, procurement, and execution activities.
Support project teams in achieving milestones and resolving schedule-related issues.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of Project Planning & Controls in EPC projects.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project (mandatory/preferred).
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Valuable understanding of solar power plant project lifecycle.
Excellent analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in Solar Power / Renewable Energy Projects is highly preferred.
Exposure to large-scale EPC or infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.
