We are looking for a sharp and curious Web Writer to cover Goa’s political developments, infrastructure projects, civic issues, and current affairs. This is a digital-first role , focused on quick, accurate, and engaging storytelling for online audiences.

What You’ll Do:
Report and write daily stories on Goa politics, civic issues, governance, and infrastructure
Cover breaking news, ground reports, explainers, and in-depth articles
Write web-friendly content with strong headlines, clear structure, and SEO awareness
Collaborate with editors, reporters, and video teams to shape impactful stories
Track trends, public conversations, and policy developments relevant to Goa
Adapt stories for digital platforms, newsletters, and social media formats

Languages (any one of the following):
English – for national and digital audiences
Konkani – for local community coverage




Marathi – for regional news

Requirements:
Proven experience as a web writer, digital journalist, or news desk.
Strong understanding of Goa’s political landscape, civic issues, and infrastructure
Ability to report independently, verify facts, and meet tight deadlines
Excellent writing skills with a digital-first mindset
Familiarity with SEO basics, content management systems, and web analytics (preferred)
Willingness to do field reporting when required

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
Experience with explainers, data stories, or long-form journalism
Basic knowledge of social media publishing and audience engagement
Ability to collaborate on multimedia stories (text + video/photo)
