Job Description

We are seeking data scientists with track record of handling big data, developing models and building analytical and machine learning solutions for big data analytics to join our Oracle Data Cloud team to providing expertise in Advanced Analytics and Data Science across all industry sectors.

Data Scientists must have a solid understanding of tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, MLops Pipeline along with the overall data platform at an enterprise level with big data, data lakes, analytics, and data science and the value of those solutions to the business. Data Scientists will engage with customers to discover business problems and goals


Hands-on development of solutions, demos,

POCs, using Oracle Data Cloud services to meet the customer’s success measures

Achieve desired results through planning, risk management, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, governance and team management

Be agile and Inspire confidence and quickly establish connection, credibility, trust, and influence with customer executives to developer

Exercise creativity, independent judgment, and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to design non-routine and elegant business solutions utilizing Oracle Data Cloud products and technology to meet customer needs

Influence customer strategy, architecture, roadmap, and migration planning workshops spanning business, applications, information, and technology domains

Maintain relevant expert-level competency across the data ecosystem – Big Data, Advanced Analytics, and Data Science, AWS S3.

Desired Qualifications / Skills:

5+ years of total experience in IT, stakeholder management

2 years of proven domain knowledge of Data Science and big data ecosystems. Domain knowledge includes SQL, Python, R, Scala, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, AI/ML, NoSQL, Cloud data architecture, etc.

Identifying automation opportunities and clear demonstration of its advantages.

Demonstrated ability to own the customer relationship and drive their success in focus areas such as Data Science.

Experience enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems. Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.

Experience in ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner. Creating automated anomaly detection systems and tracking its performance

Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.

Experience with common data science toolkits, such as Python, R, Scala, NumPy, MatLab, etc. Excellence in at least one of these is highly desirable

Experience with data visualization tools such as Oracle Analytics Cloud, Qlik, Tableau, D3.js, Seaborn, Matplot lib is plus

Expertise in conducting PoCs tailored to customers’ needs and proof points.

An exceptional communicator who can write, present, and effectively adjust messages to meet individual audiences

A proven ability to navigate and effectively collaborate with other groups and resources in a large complex environment.

Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement.

Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments. Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. 2 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree preferred.
