Job Description: Description The SAP BASIS Consultant will be part of highly motivated and passionate team within DXC. You will be responsible for the team that performs all system maintenance, project development, migration projects at DXC. Resource will be responsible for the team that performs all SAP BASIS Operational & Installation tasks within SAP Projects at DXC all from idea, technical design, implementation, quality assurance, test, to cut-over support. He/she is responsible for leadership and ownership of Delivery and contractual requirements across managed environments. Manage, implement and strategize the design, configuration,
development and implementation of customization and enhancements for the SAP applications and integrated solutions and capabilities with relevant third party application in order to achieve efficient operability, compliance and sustains productivity thus enhancing the value creation for Division business through IT innovation and support the business to attain operational excellence. Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. Responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers’ business needs and, consequently, for understanding customers’ businesses. As trusted advisor create and maintain effective customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of leading-edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge. Actively contribute to the company’s solutions portfolio by providing information ranging from technical knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects. Shape technical direction and technical strategies within the organization and for external customers. Accountable for consistent and significant chargeability levels and for assisting in meeting or exceeding revenue and customer satisfaction goals. Contribute to organization’s profitability by generating and cultivating new business opportunities and by providing technical support for deal proposal development. The SAP BASIS Consultant is motivated to take strong ownership on actions, to find innovative ways to improve the services’ agility and efficiency, and to continuously gain more skills. Responsibilities Point of contact and subject matter expert for SAP Application, Database delivery and operations teams Identify and confirm system requirements from business users based on functional specifications given. Configure, maintain, and support SAP Systems, SAP application and Database Perform the detailed design of application and technical architecture components. Configure, build, and test the application or technical architecture components. Work with Abapers and other third-party team to make sure that the custom Integration meet application requirements and performance goals as per the client requirement. Work with security team to ensure the application is controlled as per the business role. Participate in transitions of the application or technical architecture components to the testers. Fix any defects and performance problems discovered in testing. Document the application to facilitate maintenance. May be required to work on pre-defined shift plans and/or be on standby for operations support. Own Service and Incident Management and involve in change management process Drive automation in the SAP area, including developing automation code/scripts. Contribute to design and validate architecture of tooling and automation solutions Drive best practices within teams with respect to SAP security standards and guidelines Develop strategic SAP Roadmaps for our customers covering key topics and initiatives Develop Build and drive management relationships with large, global customers Identify customer needs and advise on DXC services & solutions Develop S/4HANA transformations scenarios using the Solution Manager. Identify and drive sales opportunities together with the account teams Interface with customers and own all deliverables for customers. Define continuous improvement plan and drive its execution Responsible for implementing part or all the technical solution to the client, in accordance with an agreed technical design. Responsible for providing a detailed technical design for enterprise solutions. Understands a broad spectrum of company technology to provide part or all of a detailed technical design which meets customer requirements. Responsible to Lead small to medium technical projects. Works with and under the direction of the Project/Technical Manager and with customer nominated representatives. Liaises with Solutions Architect as appropriate. Provides technical support and input on the application of technology to a defined business segment. Provides advice on solution and integration opportunities to defined segments. Provides technical leadership on specific integration activities that are part of an engagement. Provides planning and design support for the development of solution architectures that will be implemented in a multiple system environment. Communicates across client community and is viewed as adding value. Demonstrates execution of the company strategy. Contributes to knowledge tools and communities and ensures project learnings are documented and shared. Role models Knowledge sharing and re-use within practice or profession. Proactively encourages membership and contributions of others to professional community. Uses professions to meet the relevant certification and professional standards. Produces internally published material such as knowledge briefs, service delivery kit components or modules, etc. Participates in the selling process in C&I; and works with sales/principals on pre- sales activities. Primary Skills and Qualifications Candidate should have min of 8 to 12 years of experience in implementing and managing projects.
