Perfetti Van Melle, one of the world's largest confectionery organizations, with brands like Chupa Chups, Alpenliebe, Mentos, Happydent, Center Fresh is looking for a passionate and experienced Regional Sales Development Manager- North.

Basic Purpose of this position

The Regional Sales Development Manager is responsible for planning and driving Sales Development, GTM, Sales Capability & transformation agendas in the branch . The RSDM will work closely with the National Sales Development team to implement agendas in the branch and also plan the branch specific SD interventions with the branch leadership in order to drive the business growth

Key Responsibilities-

- Anchor & drive Urban GTM initiatives & Rural GTM initiatives in the branch

- Identify and bridge the distribution gaps across channels in order to drive direct and indirect coverage to support the growth agenda in the branch 

- Work closely with the National Sales Development managers & Associate Heads (Channels, Sales IT & Capability)

- Plan and drive Sales Development KPIs in the branch and ensure data sanctity

- Drive PJP adherence, and plan for enhancing Sales productivity in the branch

- Work with the Central team for developing specific linguistic content & Implement Capability building programs. This includes learning of induction modules by all DBSM/ PSR / SSR / DSE / ASM. Also must ensure various learning modules such as Brand and Ways of Working.

- Manage the branch customer engagement plans to ensure that the customer engagements , query resolutions and evacuations are managed with alacrity 

Key Requirements-

- Strong data interpretation and analytical approach

- Ability to grasp the technological understanding of sales IT tools and drive its adaption across the relevant customers in the branch

- Thorough understanding of Costs and ROI mechanisms

- Comprehensive knowledge of the sales processes and sales management

- Expertise in gathering Market intelligence and benchmarking

- Ability to assess the training needs of the various feet on street and front-line sales executive pool of the branch and plan their training programs through LMS

- Strong understanding of consumer sales and distribution network development


- 2-3 years of successful channel sales experience in General trade as an area manager.

- A stint in the Sales Development is an added advantage.


- MBA/PGDM from a premium B school
