Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake) – Contract (6 Months initial, likely extension)

Location: India (Remote)

Contract: Through Az-Tec Talent

End Client: Global Logistics Organisation (confidential)

Start Date: Immediate

Az-Tec Talent is hiring a Senior Data Engineer for a contract engagement with one of our consultancy clients, supporting a global logistics end customer . This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in modern data platforms, cloud technologies, and large-scale data processing , with a particular focus on Snowflake .

We are looking for a highly experienced engineer (7+ years) who can contribute from day one and work across a modern Azure-based data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and optimise data pipelines and data processing frameworks
- Work with Snowflake for data warehousing and performance optimisation
- Develop and maintain data ingestion and transformation workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions




- Work with streaming and batch data processing technologies
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across pipelines

Required Experience & Skills

- 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering
- Snowflake Advanced Certification (mandatory)
- Solid experience with:
- Kafka
- Python
- Apache Spark
- SQL
- Databricks
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Microsoft Azure ecosystem
- Understanding of XML and JSON data structures
- Basic knowledge of Scala

Additional Requirements

- Must be based in India
- Available to start immediately
- Comfortable working in a contract role within budget constraints

Contract Details

- Daily rate: $75–$80 per day
- Opportunity to work on modern cloud and data technologies
