Salary/Rate: $10-$12/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.

As a Sr. Quality Engineer in Order Management System(OMS) - Payments Technology portfolio, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the payment systems that support both in-store and online/customer support transactions. This position will primarily focus on existing OM - Payments which includes Billing, Payment Systems, Loyalty, Sales Audit and GL applications that are on AS/400 to be migrated to Blue Yonder in near future. You will be responsible for end-to-end testing methodologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical leadership to improve the performance and quality of payment systems.

We are prioritizing the search for a Senior Quality Engineer with strong core payments expertise. The change in direction stems from our decision to switch payment providers, necessitating an expert with in-depth knowledge of payment testing and AS/400 systems.

The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert (SME) in core payment testing, with a solid foundation in payment systems, AS/400, and strong automation experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Responsible for all aspects of testing and Quality Engineering through the full project/sprint lifecycle (from conception through implementation) under the direction of the Sr. Manager - Quality Engineering
- Develop a deep understanding of end-to-end business processes and transaction flows across integrated systems within assigned functional areas.
- Own manual test script development and execution, data sourcing/data provisioning, defect analysis, and ensuring adherence to defined Test strategies and test results documentation practises
- Automate regression test suites, converting manual tests into automated coverage where applicable; design new automation frameworks when required and enhance existing frameworks/scripts to support application changes.
- Partner closely with the Product Managers, Application Developers and operational end-users to ensure that test scripts are developed and/or modified to cover new functionality and/or enhancements that are introduced into the production system on an ongoing basis.
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by provisioning test data in lower environments and serving as the payments testing SME, guiding business users on technical and system-related aspects of UAT
- Perform initial triage and analysis of defects identified during the testing cycle and escalate issues as required to the functional support teams for resolution. Ensure defects are logged, tracked, and managed in JIRA through resolution,
- Analyze production defects and ensure appropriate controls and regression coverage are implemented to prevent recurrence.
- Apply subject matter expertise to proactively identify quality risks, develop, and implement techniques to improve overall product and process quality.
- Leverage test automation to minimize the time and effort required for manual regression test execution.
- Maintain end-to-end traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects using JIRA/other test management tools
- Provide accurate effort estimates in Scrum meetings and report timely status updates. Prepare and maintain KT documentation for onboarding new team members and update the documentation from time to time
- Collaborate closely with offshore testing team members responsible for executing tests.



Write SQL queries or appropriate assertion routines to validate data integrity and system behavior as needed
- Communicate effectively with your peers to understand product and technical requirements while clearly representing quality and testing needs.
- Daily & Weekly test execution reports for the project(s) in-flight.
- Ability to generate reports from JIRA & other Test Management tools

Experience Required:

- 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and Analysis, with a strong blend of automation expertise and hands-on testing in Order Management Systems (OMS) and Payment System is
- Strong experience testing payment gateways and transaction lifecycles, including Authorization, Capture, Settlement, Refunds, Chargebacks, and Reversals is MUST Ability to validate the end-to-end payment flows across multiple payment methods, such as credit/debit cards, gift cards, Apple Pay, PayPal, Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL), rewards, and other tender types.
- Strong API/Web Services testing experience using tools such as Postman, REST APIs, or equivalent is MUST
- Database testing & SQL querying experience is required
- Good analytical skills are required
- Extensive test automation experience using tools/frameworks such as Cucumber, Playwright, Rest Assured, or similar.
- Experience in designing and executing functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests for payment systems (both manual and automated)
- Executing existing Automation regression test suites and updating them based on change requests is required.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks across concurrent projects Expertise in QA processes and ability to provide direction/guidance to other QA team members
- Experience with BDD/TDD (Cucumber/Gherkin) is preferred
- Experience with CI/CD build automation tools is desirable
- Good understanding of software QE concepts, recommended practices, and
- methodology that cover functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, End to End testing and UAT
- Experience working with vendor partners, implementation partners, and cross-functional Quality Engineering teams.
- Document and maintain Quality Engineering processes and procedures
- Create and maintain test artifacts and test plans.
- Develop and execute tests while ensuring end-to-end traceability between
- requirements, test cases, results, and identified quality risks.
- Communicate clearly with your peers on product and solution teams to both understand their product and technology requirements while also representing your own
- Experience designing test strategies and end-to-end test scenarios and estimating test efforts
- Ability to manage multiple enterprise level initiatives in different SDLC & STLC phases Demonstrated experience working with onsite resources
- Flexibility to work with onsite teams during core overlapping hours is required.
- Strong understanding of Agile and traditional SDLC & STLC
- Experience integrating with Test Management tools like JIRA is MUST
- Must be results oriented, and demonstrate a "can do" attitude, adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness




- Good writing and speaking skills are required
- Good understanding of various testing types is required
- Must be able to work within a team and independently without any supervision at times
- Degreed qualified (Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree) required or equivalent experience.
