Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Devops Engineer, to take lead on building our next generation product. You will have the opportunity to leverage devops practices to deliver value to CardByte teams, through providing devops subject matter expertise, and accelerated execution support. You will collaborate with teams to gather requirements, specify, design, develop, deliver robust devops capabilities serving CardByte needs. You will provide technical support through deeper understanding of devops tools and processes which enable teams to build, test and deliver high quality, scalable and effective solutions. Assignments will range from short term Proof of concepts/Minimum viable product to long term cases with enterprise grade software development as a critical enabler through the project level description of the role responsibilities and impact within the organization. Skill Required

Required Skills and Experience:

- 2+ years of experience on Microsoft Azure Platform
- Good understanding of OSI Model, and how modern networks are governed through the same. Clear understanding of Cloud VPC, subnetting, and peering
- Strong experience in writing scripts for automation in any of the scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python, etc.
- Solid experience in Source Code Repositories, and Git




- Strong experience with the Linux environment
- Exceptional knowledge of container and virtual machine technologies
- Demonstrated experience of automating container lifecycle activities through orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
- Demonstrated experience in instrumentation, monitoring and alerting of applications
- Intermediate knowledge on DB administration, preferably in Postgres
- Experience problem solving issues on globally distributed systems and critical product service environments
- Experience in setting up end-to-end CI/CD for workloads with tools like Jenkins, Circle CI, etc.
- Experience in Configuration Management with tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
- Experience with different queuing systems like Pub/Sub, SQS, RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.
- Strong communication and written skills to communicate both to the team members and users involvedin the development activities
- Willingness to learn, be proactive, and think creatively

Desired Skills (Not essential but beneficial to have):

- Programming: Experience in Java development
- Version Control: Experience administrating version control systems such as SVN, GIT, etc.
- Security: Experience in building encrypted data store, preferably Vault.
- Networking: Understanding network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP, mTLS)

Educational Requirements:

- B.Tech. in Computer Science or other equivalent technical disciplines.
