Role Objective
n
Own creative direction end-to-end for Whack Sports across organic content, paid ads, and campaigns, ensuring ideas are high-impact, on-brand, structured, and executed on time through a multi-skill creative team.
n
Core Responsibilities
n
Creative Strategy & Ideation
n
- Own the big creative ideas across:
1. Organic social (Reels, Shorts, YouTube, TikTok)
2. Paid ads (Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube)
3. Campaigns (Sales, launches, BFCM, Boxing Day, Cricket season)
- Translate brand goals, offers, and performance insights into scroll-stopping creative concepts
- Balance brand storytelling + performance-led creativity
- Ensure all creative aligns with Whack Sports’ tone - Sporty, bold, Aussie, credible, slightly cheeky

Creative Direction & Quality Control
n
- Set creative guidelines for:
1. Visual style
2. Hooks & opening frames
3. On-screen text
4. VO tone & scripting
- Review and approve:
1. Concepts
2. Scripts
3. Edits
4. Final exports (organic + ads)
- Ensure consistency across platforms while allowing native execution
n
Team Management & Workflow
n
- Manage and coordinate:
1. Videographer
2. Editor(s)
3. Script resource
4. Designers (if any)
- Create clear briefs for each role (no ambiguity)
- Maintain structured workflows:
1. Weekly deliverables
2. Deadlines
3. Feedback loops
- Ensure output velocity stays high without quality drop

Campaign Planning & Execution
n
- Lead creative planning for:
1. Sales
2. Seasonal moments
3. Product launches
- Work closely with:
1. Performance marketing team
2. Social media manager
3. Founder / leadership
- Translate performance feedback into creative iteration
n
Creative Ops & Scale
n
- Build repeatable creative systems:
1. Winning formats
2. Hook libraries
3. Script templates
4. Ad variations
- Identify what’s working and double down
- Continuously test new formats, trends, and angles
n
- Skills & Experience
- 4-8 years in creative direction / content / ads
- Strong understanding of performance creatives (not just “pretty”)
- Experience managing multi-skill creative teams
- Deep knowledge of short-form video psychology
- Ability to think strategically + execute practically
- Proven ability to build, lead, and run a creative team
- Bonus: Experience in sports or cricket-focused brands is highly preferred
