Job Title: Deputy General Manager (DGM) / General Manager (GM) – Telecom (International Projects)

Role Overview

n

PoloSoft Technologies is looking for a highly seasoned and strategic DGM/GM – Telecom to lead and scale its international telecom engineering operations across USA, Canada, and Europe.

n

This role demands a senior leader with deep domain expertise in telecom design, permitting, and large-scale project execution, along with strong experience in managing large teams and delivering profitable outcomes for global clients.

Key Responsibilities

n

1. International Business Expansion

n

- Drive growth of telecom engineering services across USA, Canada, and Europe.
- Identify and secure large-scale opportunities in:
- Fiber Design (FTTH / FTTx)
- OSP Engineering
- Permitting & Regulatory Approvals
- Build strategic relationships with global telecom operators and partners.

2. P&L; Ownership & Profitabilityn

- Own and drive complete P&L; responsibility for telecom projects.
- Ensure high-margin delivery through cost control, efficiency, and optimization.
- Develop scalable delivery models for international projects.

3. Telecom Design & Permitting Leadershipn

- Lead end-to-end execution of:
- HLD/LLD Fiber Design
- Walkouts & As-Built Documentation
- Permitting across city, county, DOT, and utilities
- Ensure adherence to US & Canadian telecom standards and compliance frameworks.
- Establish SOPs and best practices for global delivery.

4. Client Leadership & Account Managementn

- Manage and grow relationships with major telecom clients such as:
- AT&T;, Comcast, Charter, Telus, Bell, Rogers and others
- Lead executive-level discussions, solution positioning, and escalations.
- Ensure long-term client retention and satisfaction.

5. Large-Scale Team Leadershipn

- Build, manage, and scale high-performance teams across:
- Design, Permitting,



and Project Management functions
- Directly oversee and manage large teams of 300–500 members.
- Drive organizational structure, leadership pipeline, and performance management.

6. Strategic Planning & Executionn

- Define execution strategies, delivery frameworks, and timelines.
- Monitor large-scale project performance, risks, and dependencies.
- Ensure seamless coordination across multiple teams and geographies.

7. Technology & Operational Excellencen

- Drive adoption of tools for:
- Fiber design (AutoCAD, GIS platforms)
- Project tracking and workflow automation
- Improve productivity through process optimization and innovation.

Key Requirementsn

Experience

n

- Minimum 25+ years of experience in telecom industry
- 5–10 years of experience managing large teams (300–500 members)
- Extensive experience in US & Canadian telecom markets (mandatory)
- Proven track record with major clients such as:
- AT&T;, Comcast, Charter, Telus, Bell, Rogers
- Strong background in fiber design, OSP engineering, and permitting

Core Skillsn

- Strong leadership and organizational management capabilities
- Deep understanding of international telecom delivery models
- P&L; ownership and business strategy expertise
- Excellent client engagement and stakeholder management
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

Educationn

- B.Tech / M.Tech in Telecom, Electronics, or related field
- MBA (preferred)
