Position : Product Manager
Location : Manesar
Preference : Air Filtration or HVAC industry

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

PRODUCT :

Responsible for end-to-end management of existing product portfolio, increase gross margin and volume
balance standardisation vs customisation based on business value
structure the product portfolio in line with different customer segmentations
manage product life cycle till the phase out
ensure internal product software are updated
analyze production costs in view of optimising gross margin
Develop new products, current opportunities / application areas
Evaluate opportunities for new, updated and re-launched products
Regularly meet R&D; to assess technical opportunities
Prepare business case for decision (incl. for capital expenditure) by concerned management stakeholder / product forums
Provide marketing specification in accordance with the corporate template
Compare the marketing specification with the product specification (written by R&D;) and decide what is acceptable and “saleable”
Approve final product specification including functionalities, performances, design, look, quality tolerances and packaging
Propose and develop value added services in order to facilitate product sales (like mounting and validation for operating theatres, validation for safety cabinets)
Regularly meet key suppliers to review innovations and possible common developments
Responsible for competitive analysis (price, feature, reverse-engineering)

PRICING :

Define gross price lists for new products to be approved by Camfil India MD and Regional PM for each category
Analyse profitability and recommend selling prices
Propose special transfer price rules to any plants to stick to market levels.
Study competitive pricing and support sales force

PROMOTION & EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION :





Set up briefs for marketing department to come up with complete communication package: Videos, catalogue product pages, datasheets, brochures, adds, digital messages, etc
Prepare plan and package of materials for product launch and re-launch.
Maintain relationships with external key influencers (related to Customer Segments)
Support marketing activities as customer training / education: Solution days, Camfil Academy.
Visit to Gold customers: 2 visits per month minimum

PLACEMENT & INTERNAL COMMUNICATION :

Contribute to sales meetings and deliver product presentations including competitive analysis, sales pitches & arguments for sales force (internal & external)
Responsible for internal product training / education
Define and provide a streamlined sales process for commodity products
Develops sales tools to improve sales force efficiency e.g. product calculator, LCC etc.
Support sales force in significant quality / application issues

REPORTING TO :

MD Camfil India and Functional to Regional PMs

COMPETENCIES NEEDED :

We are looking for an independent and dynamic person with the following profile:

Have proven analytical skills to build well-structured business cases to support new product initiatives
Be a creative self-starter
Have strong project management credentials
Have good organizational and administrative skills
Hold Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business Studies, Engineering or Industrial Design or related professions
Have the ability to work with minimal supervision and as a team member
Be a Computer literate with MS Office knowledge
Have a ‘hands on’ mentality coupled with a ‘can do’ attitude
Have the ability to liaise and present to all levels of Camfil Group management
Have the ability to travel and work autonomously from remote locations
Previous work experience in Product Management in B2B industries preferred
