Python-focused AI Backend Engineer with strong experience building production-grade FastAPI services and AI agent workflows

Must Have:

Backend Engineering

- 2–3+ years of Python experience building production-grade services
- Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI, including:
- Async execution patterns
- API design & error handling
- Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD, especially within Azure DevOps

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

- Hands-on experience building end-to-end RAG systems
- Experience with:
- Document ingestion & parsing
- Chunking strategies
- Embedding generation & indexing

AI Agents & Frameworks

- Expertise in at least one AI framework such as:
- LangChain
- Microsoft Agent Framework
- Semantic Kernel
- Google ADK

Data & Storage

- Strong SQL skills, preferably Microsoft SQL ServerQuery writing, validation, optimization
- Data ingestion
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases, preferably Azure Cosmos DB

Ways of Working

- Robust communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working in agile, globally distributed teams

Nice to Have

- Experience with Copilot Studio, including agent creation and publishing
- Exposure to Microsoft Agent Framework hosting and backend integration patterns
