**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct and specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU.
- Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and overall health status, responding to changes or deterioration in condition.
- Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous fluids as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and proper documentation.
- Assist with and monitor the use of life-support equipment, such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide constant monitoring and assessment of patients, documenting their progress, complications, and responses to treatments.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records, including assessments, medication administration, and interventions.
- Ensure a safe and sterile environment, following infection control procedures and hospital protocols.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families,



offering education and guidance on treatment plans, recovery, and post-ICU care.
- Respond to and manage emergency situations, providing immediate care as needed (e.g., CPR, code blue).
- Participate in ongoing education, training, and career development to stay current with ICU nursing practices and advancements.
- Assist in the training and orientation of new staff and nursing students, providing mentorship and support.

**Qualifications**:

- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience in critical care or ICU nursing is preferred.
- Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.
