What you will build

You are responsible for the core intelligence layer of the platform. The work spans:

- AI agent systems — designing and building intelligent, LLM-powered agents that interact with users through natural, multi-turn conversations (text and voice) to deeply understand their needs and preferences
- Multi-agent orchestration — building the infrastructure that allows multiple AI agents to interact with each other autonomously, make decisions, and coordinate outcomes
- Matching and ranking systems — designing and implementing intelligent matching logic that goes far beyond keyword search, operating across rich, multidimensional data
- Natural language understanding — parsing user intent from plain English instructions, detecting ambiguity, and enforcing user-defined rules within the AI system
- Voice interface integration — enabling voice-based interactions with accurate transcription and natural conversational flow
- Data ingestion pipelines — pulling and structuring data from external sources to enrich user profiles




- Vector database architecture — designing and managing vector-based storage and retrieval for semantic matching
- API design — building the backend API layer to support a React/Next.js frontend

What you bring

Required:

- 5+ years backend engineering, with at least 2 years building systems that use LLMs in production (not just prototypes or wrappers)
- Deep familiarity with LLM orchestration — prompt engineering, context management, multi-turn conversation design, and tool/function calling
- Robust Python and/or TypeScript. Comfortable with Node.js or FastAPI for backend services
- Experience with real-time or event-driven architectures (WebSockets, message queues, pub/sub)
- Ability to work with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) to move at 2–3x individual speed
- Comfortable owning the entire backend with minimal oversight

Strong plus:

- Hands-on experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, pgvector, or similar) for semantic search and matching at scale
- Experience designing and building multi-agent or agentic AI systems where agents interact with each other or take autonomous actions
- Experience with speech-to-text systems (Whisper, Deepgram, AssemblyAI) and voice interaction design
- Experience in recruiting technology, HR tech, or marketplace platforms
- Background in NLP for entity extraction, intent classification, or constraint parsing from natural language
- Experience designing systems where AI decisions need to be explainable and auditable
