Job Overview:
CGI is looking for a talented and motivated Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in Hogan, COBOL, JCL to build and manage scalable, productive, and reliable data pipelines and infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, working closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Mainframe applications

Write and modify programs using COBOL / COBOL-DB2 / CICS





Develop and maintain JCL for batch processing

Work with DB2, VSAM, IMS (if applicable) for data handling

Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Perform unit testing, integration testing, and production support

Debug and resolve production issues efficiently

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards

Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and other stakeholders

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must Have Skills:
Strong experience in COBOL

Hands-on experience with JCL

Good knowledge of DB2 and SQL

Experience with VSAM files

Exposure to CICS (online applications)

Knowledge of Batch processing

Familiarity with Endevor / Changeman / any version control tools

Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
