Senior Data Engineer (Azure / Microsoft Technologies)

Location: India (Remote, Full-Time)

Experience: 7+ Years (Strong Hands-On, Production-Grade)

Role Overview
Design, build, and operate contemporary, cloud-native data platforms on Microsoft Azure.
Own end-to-end data pipelines with focus on scalability, security, governance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
Design cloud-native, scalable data architectures on Azure.
Build batch, incremental, and CDC-based data pipelines.
Implement ELT patterns using Azure Synapse and Databricks.
Develop real-time data pipelines using Event Hubs, Kafka, and Stream Analytics.
Implement data governance, security, monitoring, and CI/CD practices.
Mentor engineers and lead architecture discussions.

Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering.
Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL.
Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Spark / PySpark.




Experience with real-time data processing (Event Hubs, Kafka, Azure Stream Analytics).
Understanding of ML data workflows, feature engineering, and MLOps integration.
Experience working with C# on Azure-based data or platform workloads.
Strong SQL performance tuning and optimization skills.
Solid Python / PowerShell scripting skills.

Nice to Have
Docker and Kubernetes experience.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Pipelines, OneLake, Synapse Engineering).
Experience collaborating with Analytics / BI teams (Power BI or equivalent)
Exposure to at least one additional cloud platform (AWS or GCP).
Cloud cost optimization experience.
