Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU.
Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and overall health status, responding to changes or deterioration in condition.
Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous fluids as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and proper documentation.
Assist with and monitor the use of life-support equipment, such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide constant monitoring and assessment of patients, documenting their progress, complications, and responses to treatments.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records, including assessments, medication administration, and interventions.
Ensure a protected and sterile workplace, following infection control procedures and hospital protocols.
Provide emotional support to patients and families,



offering education and guidance on treatment plans, recovery, and post-ICU care.
Respond to and manage emergency situations, providing immediate care as needed (e.g., CPR, code blue).
Participate in ongoing education, training, and career development to stay current with ICU nursing practices and advancements.
Assist in the training and orientation of new staff and nursing students, providing mentorship and support.

Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience in critical care or ICU nursing is preferred.
Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.
