Job Title: Growth & Traffic Manager – Digital (News Platform)

Role Overview
We are looking for a data-driven and result-oriented Growth & Traffic Manager to drive audience acquisition, engagement, and retention for the Lokmat digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of digital media, SEO, content distribution, and performance marketing, with a focus on scaling traffic for a news website.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive organic and paid traffic growth across Lokmat’s website and digital platforms
- Plan and execute SEO strategies (on-page, off-page, technical) to improve search rankings and visibility
- Optimize content performance through keyword strategy, headlines, and metadata
- Manage and scale traffic through Google Discover, News Aggregators, and Social Media platforms
- Analyze traffic data using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and other dashboards
- Identify trends, user behavior, and content opportunities to increase engagement and page views
- Collaborate with editorial teams to ensure content is aligned with traffic and SEO goals
- Plan and execute growth experiments (A/B testing, push notifications, newsletters, etc.)
- Monitor competitor strategies and industry trends to identify growth opportunities
- Drive user retention strategies including notifications, subscriptions, and repeat visits
- Work closely with tech teams for website optimization (speed, UX, mobile performance)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in digital growth, traffic management, or SEO, preferably in a news/media industry
- Strong understanding of Google algorithms, Discover, and trending news ecosystem
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.
- Knowledge of content marketing, social media distribution, and audience behavior
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies
- Experience in handling high-traffic websites is a plus
- Basic understanding of performance marketing (Google Ads, Meta Ads) is an advantage
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Website traffic (users, sessions, page views)
- Organic search growth & keyword rankings
- CTR and engagement metrics (bounce rate, time on site)
- Growth in Google Discover traffic
- Returning users & retention rate
