As our UK and Continental Europe team continues to expand, we are seeking a Senior Associate Director - Cable System Design to support a range of high-profile projects across our Power & Energy portfolio. This includes high voltage AIS and GIS Substations, transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, and energy storage systems. Key Responsibilities: Previous experience with consultancy, contractor or utility in the energy sector.Extensive experience in a cable related role supporting FEED design and/or detailed design.Able to manage and lead HV/EHV cable designs at all projects stages.



Experienced user of CYMCAP & COMSOL to support cable system design Experience of working at EHV transmission voltages Experience in the design of HV and EHV cable systems, for both HVAC and HVDC systems.Developing HV/EHV cabling systems specifications, concept/detailed design and design review, estimation, site supervision and support as required.Provide technical support to the team on all aspects of HV cable system engineering and design Prepare plant and equipment technical specification, power cable route specifications, tender specifications, technical and progress reportsEnsuring correct and accurate interface with other engineering functions involved in the projects, attend, and conduct internal and external meetings with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors.Support factory inspections Test (FAT)Perform technical calculations including cable size, rating calculations, TMF and EMF calculations, Sheath induced voltage calculations and other.Perform desi
