Role Overview: Sr. Manager / Manager – NPD (Marketplace)

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Sr. Manager / Manager – NPD (Marketplace) to lead end-to-end operational execution for marketplace channels. This role will own the complete NPD-to-order fulfilment lifecycle, ensuring seamless coordination across product development, production, inventory, warehousing, and dispatch.

The ideal candidate will act as a strategic bridge between Marketplace Business and Supply Chain/Manufacturing, ensuring speed, accuracy, and quality in product availability and fulfilment. This position is suited for a results-oriented leader with strong expertise in production operations, supply chain management, and e-commerce fulfilment, capable of driving operational excellence at scale.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketplace Fulfilment & Operations

- Lead end-to-end order fulfilment for marketplace channels, from product setup to dispatch readiness.
- Ensure timely production, quality compliance, and shipment of marketplace SKUs in line with demand forecasts.
- Collaborate closely with business and category teams to align operations with sales targets, campaigns, and product launches.
- Track and manage daily fulfilment KPIs such as lead times, delays, rejection rates, and fill rates.
- Oversee SKU lifecycle management, including onboarding, updates, and discontinuation.

2. New Product Development (NPD) Integration

- Own operational readiness for all marketplace NPD launches, including production, packaging, labelling, and catalog compliance.
- Partner with design, sourcing, and quality teams to ensure NPD timelines meet go-to-market plans.
- Develop structured workflows to accelerate time-to-market for new products.
- Provide actionable feedback to product and NPD teams on scalability, performance, and operational constraints.

3. Finished Goods (FG) & Warehousing

- Drive FG inventory planning and optimization to balance service levels with inventory costs.
- Ensure warehouse efficiency, including stock accuracy, FIFO adherence,



and optimal space utilization.
- Monitor and improve key warehouse KPIs such as inventory accuracy and dispatch efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal logistics teams and 3PL partners to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
- Ensure strict adherence to marketplace SLAs, including packaging, labelling, and dispatch timelines.

4. Supply Chain & Process Excellence

- Oversee end-to-end supply chain synchronization, including raw materials, production, inventory movement, and dispatch.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks to improve lead times and reduce cost per order.
- Establish and standardize SOPs across production and warehouse operations.
- Leverage ERP, WMS, and OMS tools for real-time visibility and operational control.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, productivity, and service excellence.

5. Stakeholder Management

- Act as the primary operational point of contact for the Marketplace Business team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with NPD, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams.
- Present regular performance reports to leadership, highlighting KPIs, risks, and improvement actions.
- Build strong partnerships with business leaders to support revenue growth through operational efficiency.

Desired Skills & Competencies

- Robust operational and analytical mindset with hands-on experience in manufacturing and supply chain.
- Proven expertise in marketplace fulfilment (Amazon, Flipkart, Walmart, etc.) and SLA compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP, WMS, OMS, and data-driven decision-making tools.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple categories and large-scale operations.
- Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement orientation.

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or Management (MBA preferred).
- Experience: 8+ years in manufacturing, supply chain, or fulfilment operations, with 3–5 years in a leadership role within marketplace or e-commerce operations.
