The Indirect Tax Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day VAT compliance obligations of the business, ensuring accurate and timely submissions to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA), maintaining strong governance over VAT data, and supporting audits, refunds, and regulatory reporting. The role is heavily compliance-focused and requires strong technical GCC VAT knowledge, system proficiency, and attention to detail FTA Portal & Regulatory Submissions Manage and update all FTA portal records (registrations, profile updates, bank details, group changes, etc.). Prepare and submit FTA FAF files , including detailed supporting schedules and reconciliations. Prepare and submit VAT refund claims , ensuring full substantiation and timely follow-up with the FTA Audit & Authority Support Support internal and external FTA audits , including collation of data, preparation of schedules Systems, Data & Controls Ensure accuracy and consistency of VAT data within ERP and tax reporting systems . Identify and report process weaknesses, compliance risks, and control gaps ,



with recommendations for improvement. Process Improvement & Governance Contribute to continuous improvement of VAT compliance processes and internal controls . Assist in updating VAT procedures, checklists, and compliance manuals . Required Experience & Qualifications 7–10 years’ experience in indirect tax / VAT, preferably within a large corporate, real estate, or professional services environment. Strong practical experience in: UAE VAT compliance and FTA filings Preparation of VAT returns, FAF files, and refund claims Supporting VAT audits Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field. Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CTA, CPA, ADIT) preferred . Technical & Professional Skills Solid working knowledge of UAE VAT Law, Executive Regulations, and FTA guidance .
