Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Cosmetic Formulator – Executive/Manager at Krishna’s Herbal & Ayurveda, located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The role involves developing innovative Ayurvedic and cosmetic formulations, ensuring compliance with global standards, and optimizing existing formulations. The selected candidate will manage raw material selection, conduct stability tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring high-quality products to market. Responsibilities also include staying updated on industry trends, improving production processes, and maintaining documentation for compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development

- Develop and optimize formulations for skincare, haircare, and personal care products (creams, lotions, serums, oils, shampoos, etc.)




- Incorporate Ayurvedic herbs, extracts, and actives into up-to-date cosmetic formulations.
- Conduct literature research on ingredients, trends, and new technologies.

2. R&D; & Innovation

- Create new product concepts aligned with market trends (natural, herbal, clean beauty)
- Evaluate raw materials, actives, fragrances, and preservatives.
- Work on green formulations, organic certifications, and herbal claims.

3. Testing & Stability

- Perform stability studies, compatibility tests, and shelf-life evaluations.
- Ensure product safety, efficacy, and sensory performance.
- Troubleshoot formulation issues.

4. Regulatory & Compliance

- Ensure formulations comply with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), AYUSH guidelines, and cosmetic regulations.
- Prepare documentation: COA, MSDS, specifications, product dossiers.
- Support product claims and labeling compliance.

5. Scale-Up & Production Support

- Transfer formulations from lab scale to pilot and commercial batches.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams for batch trials.
- Optimize cost and process efficiency.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work with marketing for product positioning and claims.
- Support procurement for sourcing quality raw materials.
- Collaborate with QA/QC teams for product validation.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cosmetic Technology / Chemistry / Pharmacy / Biotechnology
- Ayurveda (BAMS) with cosmetic formulation experience preferred
- 2–8 years of experience
- Good Communication Skills.
