The company’s core expertise spans large-scale UAV swarms, AI-enabled autonomous coordination, and persistent unmanned systems, all validated through rigorous operational deployment in real-world conflict environments.Key Responsibilities1. Inward Quality Assurance – Electrical & Electronic ComponentsOversee inward inspection and testing of electrical and electronic components, including:RF cables, wire harnesses, connectorsSensors, PCBs, power modulesBatteries, ESCs, motors, avionics, and UAV electronicsEnsure verification of incoming materials against:Specifications, drawings, BOMsQuality instructions, MSDS, Co C, and acceptance criteriaApprove and maintain Quality Test Plans (QTPs) and inspection checklists for electronic components.Review and validate inspection activities such as:Electrical continuity, insulation resistanceFunctional testing, polarity checksVoltage/current measurements and basic load testsEnsure IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards are correctly applied during inspection.2.
Inward Quality Assurance – Mechanical ComponentsOversee inward inspection of mechanical parts and assemblies, including:Machined components, sheet metal partsComposite and CFRP componentsFasteners, brackets, housings, structural UAV partsEnsure dimensional, visual, and functional inspections are carried out as per:Engineering drawings and GD&TMaterial; specifications and surface finish requirementsReview First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and ensure compliance with aerospace requirements.Ensure proper segregation, tagging, and disposition of non-conforming mechanical materials.3. Supplier Quality Management & EvaluationLead supplier evaluation, qualification, and periodic performance reviews for electrical, electronic, and mechanical suppliers.Define and implement supplier quality metrics, including:Incoming rejection rateSCAR response effectivenessDelivery and quality consistencyConduct supplier audits (on-site or remote) aligned with AS9100 D and company quality standards.Support supplier capability assessment for:Process maturityTesting infrastructureQuality management systemsDrive supplier improvement initiatives and monitor action plan effectiveness4. Non-Conformance & Corrective Action ManagementOwn and manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs):Review non-conformance reports raised by the teamEnsure timely root cause analysis (RCA)
and corrective/preventive actionsCoordinate with suppliers to:Communicate quality issues clearlyEnsure corrective actions are effective and sustainableEscalate chronic quality issues and propose risk mitigation or alternate sourcing strategies.5. Cross-Functional CoordinationAct as the quality focal point for CFT teams (Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program, Flight Ops).Support:Engineering changes and impact analysis on incoming materialsNew supplier development and qualificationProvide quality inputs during new product introduction (NPI) and prototype builds.6. Documentation, Compliance & GovernanceEnsure maintenance of all inward quality documentation, including:Inspection records and test reportsSupplier evaluation reportsSCAR logs and closure evidenceEnsure adherence to:Company QA proceduresAS9100 D requirementsAerospace/UAV regulatory and customer requirementsSupport internal, external, and customer audits related to inward and supplier quality.7. Team Leadership & Process ImprovementGuide and mentor Inward Quality Engineers and Inspectors.Review inspection effectiveness and optimize processes to reduce rejections and escapes.Drive continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives in inward inspection and supplier quality processes.Required Skills & Qualifications:EducationBachelor’s degree / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace EngineeringExperience8–10 years of experience in Inward Quality / Supplier Quality within aerospace, UAV, or high-reliability electronics/mechanical manufacturingPrior experience handling both electrical/electronic and mechanical inward quality is mandatoryHands-on experience with supplier audits and SCAR managementTechnical SkillsStrong understanding of:Electrical and electronic components, test methods, and ESD practicesMechanical drawings, GD&T;, and material specificationsWorking knowledge of:IPC-A-610IPC/WHMA-A-620AS9100 D and aerospace quality processesFamiliarity with quality tools:8 D5-WhyFishbonePareto analysis
