Role Overview

The Office & HR Manager is the backbone of school administration—responsible for seamless office operations, recruitment, HR systems, compliance, and staff management. This role requires a highly organized, proactive individual who can balance people management with process excellence in a dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities1. Human Resource Management

- Lead end-to-end recruitment (teaching & non-teaching staff)
- Implement structured hiring systems:
- Screening (CBSE OASIS ID verification, CPD hours validation)
- Interview coordination
- Background & reference checks
- Drive onboarding & induction programs aligned with school culture
- Maintain employee records, contracts, and HR documentation
- Monitor attendance, leave management, and payroll coordination
- Implement performance appraisal systems (quarterly & annual)
- Ensure teacher retention and academic-year continuity discipline

2. Office Administration

- Oversee front office operations (parent handling, enquiries, communication)
- Supervise administrative staff (Front Desk, Transport, Accounts coordination)
- Ensure smooth day-to-day school operations
- Maintain documentation for:
- Admissions
- Student records
- Staff files
- Coordinate with all departments for operational efficiency

3. Compliance & Regulatory Management

- Ensure compliance with:
- Labour laws and statutory HR compliances
- Maintain updated records for:
- Staff qualifications
- Safety and legal documentation
- Support audits and inspections

4. Recruitment Strategy & Employer Branding

- Plan and execute year-round hiring strategy




- Build a strong pipeline of high-quality educators
- Use platforms like Indeed, LinkedIn, and referrals
- Position Asoka World School as a preferred employer in Kochi

5. Staff Engagement & Culture Building

- Drive initiatives for:
- Teacher motivation & engagement
- Training & development (minimum 50 hours CPD tracking)
- Act as a bridge between management and staff
- Handle grievances, discipline, and conflict resolution

6. Systems & Process Implementation

- Implement and manage ERP-based HR workflows
- Ensure accurate data entry for:
- Attendance
- Staff records
- Performance tracking
- Improve administrative efficiency through SOPs

- Deep understanding of school operations & HR practices
- Ability to handle pressure during admissions & academic cycles

Qualifications & Experience

- Graduate / Postgraduate in HR, Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5–8 years experience in HR & administration
- Experience in schools or educational institutions preferred
- Familiarity with CBSE processes and compliance is a strong advantage
