Job Summary

X-Gen College of Visual Art is looking for a knowledgeable and articulate Art Theory Instructor to lead our theoretical curriculum. This role is dedicated exclusively to conducting lecture-based classes, focusing on art history, philosophy, and the academic principles of visual arts. The candidate will be responsible for providing students with a deep intellectual understanding of art theory and aesthetic theory.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive theory-based lecture sessions on Art History and Visual Culture.
- Teach academic design fundamentals, including the evolution of typography, color theory, and composition.
- Deliver detailed lectures on the principles of branding, visual identity, and the psychology of design.
- Develop and present structured training modules that incorporate current industry practices and emerging design trends.
- Facilitate classroom discussions and encourage critical thinking regarding various art movements.
- Design and conduct theoretical assessments, written assignments, and academic performance evaluations.




- Mentor students in understanding the conceptual side of portfolio development.

Art Skill Requirements (Theoretical)

- Art History & Criticism: Extensive knowledge of global art movements, from classical to contemporary periods.
- Visual Communication: Ability to explain the mechanics of branding and visual identity design.
- Conceptual Development: Mastery of teaching creative concept development and visualisation techniques.

Eligibility Criteria

- Education: Master of Visual Art (BVA/MVA) / Master of Fine Art (BFA/MFA), Visual Communication, Multimedia, or a related academic field.
- Experience: 1–2 years of industry or teaching experience preferred, but Freshers with exceptional theoretical knowledge and presentation skills will be considered.
- Instructional Focus: Proven ability to teach complex theoretical concepts in an engaging, lecture-style format.

- Strong communication and presentation abilities to maintain student engagement during lectures.
- Creative thinking with a sharp attention to detail.
- Ability to stay updated with industry trends and integrate them into academic workflows.
