About the Role
We're looking for a Finance & Compliance Associate who brings precision and ownership to day-to-day accounting operations. You'll manage Quick Books, keep books reconciled and accurate, generate reports leadership can act on, and assess client books for health and completeness.
Your Job Outcomes
1. Accurate Books in Quick Books Own the Quick Books setting—posting entries, maintaining chart of accounts, ensuring every transaction is recorded accurately and on time.
2. Airtight Reconciliations Perform regular bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations. Catch and resolve discrepancies before they compound. Zero surprises at month-end.
3. Decision-Ready Reports Generate weekly and monthly financials—P&L;, cash flow, aging summaries—so leadership has complete visibility without asking twice.
4. Clean Transaction Tagging Tag, categorize, and allocate every transaction with discipline—cost centers, departments, and projects tracked with ledger-level accuracy.
5. Client Books Assessment Review client books, flag inconsistencies, identify record-keeping gaps, and recommend corrective actions to bring books to audit-ready state.
Must-Have Competencies
Quick Books Proficiency: Strong command of QBO—journal entries, bank feeds,



invoicing, reporting modules, and troubleshooting. Reconciliation Discipline: Timely, thorough reconciliations across multiple accounts. Sharp eye for mismatches and duplicates. Financial Reporting: Clear, accurate reports that translate raw data into leadership-ready insights. Comfortable with custom views and recurring cadences.
Execution Consistency: Minimal revision cycles. Reliable delivery on recurring tasks without quality drift. Good-to-Have

Experience cleaning up or assessing books for multiple clients simultaneously.
Familiarity with Ramp, Mercury, Xero, or similar platforms.
Working knowledge of basic compliance frameworks (GST, TDS, IRS) as they relate to bookkeeping.
Prior experience in a startup or fractional finance environment.  Work Environment
