This role is therefore meant for someone who can think beyond purchase orders and take ownership of procurement as a strategic, performance-driven function.

We are looking for a Manager Procurement who can lead sourcing for a complex engineering manufacturing setup with maturity, commercial sharpness, technical understanding, and strong execution discipline.

If you have built supplier ecosystems, controlled shortages, negotiated with confidence, improved delivery performance, handled engineering commodities, and brought structure into procurement decisions this role may be for you.

What You Will Be Trusted With

You will lead procurement for a business environment involving:

- Annual purchase value of approx. 18 Crores
- 250 to 300 commodities
- 60 to 70 active suppliers
- A team of procurement members reporting to you
- Close coordination with PPC, Production, Quality, Design, Stores, Finance, Maintenance, and external suppliers/job work partners

This is a role where your decisions will affect:

- contract discipline
- and production continuity





What This Role Really Requires

- Build and strengthen supplier base commodity-wise
- Negotiate rates and commercial terms with authority
- Reduce single-source dependency
- Improve supplier OTD and reduce shortages
- Drive cost-down initiatives with logic, not just pressure
- Work with engineering teams on alternate development and VA/VE
- Manage contract discipline, deviations, and procurement governance
- Bring structure, dashboards, accountability, and process maturity into the function

Who Will Fit This Role Best

- B.E. Mechanical having 7+ years of procurement experience in an engineering/manufacturing setting
- Have handled technical commodities and have managed suppliers with both commercial and quality/delivery accountability
- You have led a team and can create ownership, follow-through, and review discipline

Working familiarity with engineering materia
