Must Have

n

Core Skills

n

4–7+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.

n

Strong hands-on experience with Messaging Queues (MQ) in production.

n

Proven experience managing NATS / NATS JetStream clusters.

n

Solid understanding of distributed systems and event‑driven architectures.

n

Strong Linux, networking, and troubleshooting skills.

n

Programming & Tooling

n

Proficiency in Go, Java, or Python (scripting and automation).

n

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.

n

CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

n

Observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or similar.

n

Positive to Have

n

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

n

Knowledge of message security, TLS, authentication, and access control.

n

Exposure to high‑throughput, low‑latency systems.

n

Experience with chaos engineering, load testing, or resilience testing.

n

Background in financial services, payments, or regulated environments.

Reliability & Operations

n

Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of messaging and event‑driven platforms.

n

Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for critical messaging services.

n

Lead incident response,



problem management, and post‑incident RCA.

n

Drive continuous improvement through automation and operational best practices.

n

Messaging Systems (MQ)

n

Deploy, manage, and support enterprise MQ systems (IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, or similar).

n

Monitor and tune queues, topics, channels, publishers, and subscribers.

n

Troubleshoot issues related to message latency, backlog, duplication, ordering, and delivery failures.

n

Ensure secure and reliable message flows across distributed applications.

n

NATS Event Broker

n

Operate and optimize NATS / NATS JetStream clusters in production.

n

Design and support event‑driven architectures using NATS for low‑latency messaging.

n

Ensure stability of streams, consumers, persistence, and replication.

n

Handle scaling, clustering, and disaster recovery of NATS environments.

n

Observability & Performance

n

Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for MQ and NATS platforms.

n

Analyze system behavior under load and conduct capacity planning.

n

Improve performance and resilience through proactive tuning and testing.

n

Infrastructure & Automation

n

Automate deployments and operations using CI/CD pipelines.

n

Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to manage environments.

n

Operate systems on Kubernetes and containerized platforms.

n

Build scripts and tools to reduce manual effort and operational toil.

n

Minimum Qualification

n

15 years of full-time education

n

Minimum percentile of 50% in 10th, 12th, UG & PG (if applicable)
