Job Description
Location: Coimbatore, Saravanampatti

Qualification: 8th / 10th Pass
Valid LMV Driving Licence with Passenger / Tourist Badge — mandatory
Experience: 2–3 years of qualified cab or patient transport driving experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transport patients safely and punctually between their homes and hospital / clinic for OPD appointments, procedures, dialysis sessions, chemotherapy, physiotherapy, and post-discharge drop-offs
- Follow daily trip schedule assigned by the transport coordinator — multiple patient pick-ups and drops per shift
- Assist elderly, differently-abled, post-operative, or wheelchair-bound patients in safely getting in and out of the vehicle
- Maintain a calm, courteous, and reassuring manner with all patients — especially those who are anxious, unwell, or in pain
- Ensure the cab is clean, sanitised, well-ventilated, and comfortable before every trip
- Conduct daily vehicle pre-trip checks — fuel, tyre pressure, brakes, AC, and cleanliness
- Navigate efficiently using Google Maps / GPS — plan routes to ensure on-time pick-ups and drop-offs
- Maintain accurate trip sheets — patient name, pickup point, destination, time in, time out, and mileage
- Inform the transport coordinator immediately about delays, route changes, or passenger health concerns during the trip
- Follow hospital vehicle usage policy — no unauthorised passengers, no personal use of vehicle
- Adhere to all traffic regulations — speed limits, signal rules, and safe lane discipline at all times
- Coordinate with hospital reception or OPD desk on patient arrival to ensure smooth handover
- Handle patient belongings with care — assist with carrying bags, medical files, or equipment where needed
- Maintain fuel log and vehicle maintenance register; report any vehicle defects immediately
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- 8th / 10th standard pass (mandatory)
- Valid LMV Driving Licence with Passenger / Tourist Badge — clean driving record (mandatory)
- 2–3 years of professional driving experience specifically in patient transport, hospital cab, or healthcare facility
- Deep familiarity with local city roads, hospitals, clinics, and navigation using Google Maps
- Exceptional patience, empathy, and people skills — especially with elderly and unwell passengers
- Punctual, dependable, and responsible — consistent timekeeping is critical for patient appointments
- Ability to assist patients physically — helping in and out of the vehicle, carrying belongings
- Basic first aid awareness — ability to remain calm if a patient feels unwell during transport
- Clean, well-groomed, and professionally presentable at all times
- Basic communication in local language and Hindi
- Police verification and background check mandatory
