Must-Have Skills:

- 4–7 years of experience in Mainframe Development
- Strong hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM
- Good experience with CICS for online transaction processing
- Exposure to batch processing and scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, CA7)
- Experience in debugging tools like Abend-AID, File-Aid
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Agile/Waterfall)
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills

Good-to-Have Skills:

- Experience in Banking, Insurance, or Financial Services domain
- Exposure to mainframe modernization or integration projects
- Knowledge of APIs, web services, or distributed systems integration
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines

Your future duties and responsibilities

Monitor daily batch schedules, manage job submissions, and resolve failures (abends) to ensure timely completion.

- Analyze and resolve production incidents, perform data fixes, restart jobs, and handle online transaction issues.
- Investigate underlying causes of recurring incidents to implement permanent solutions and prevent future failures.
- Perform health checks, manage NDM (Network Data Mover) file transfers, and support code deployment.
- Coordinate with application developers, DBA teams, and stakeholders, often managing P1/P2 critical issue bridges
