- *Key Responsibilities:**
- **CMM Inspection and Dimensional Analysis:**
- Operate, program, and manage CMM machines to inspect and validate the dimensional accuracy of components.
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with GD&T; and customer specifications.
- Analyze measurement data, prepare detailed inspection reports, and collaborate with design and production teams for issue resolution.
- **Calibration:**
- Conduct routine and preventive calibration of precision measurement instruments such as micrometres, callipers, and height gauges.;
- Maintain calibration schedules and ensure instruments comply with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
- Document calibration records and ensure availability of certified tools for production.
- **Heat Treatment Inspection:**
- Inspect heat-treated components to verify hardness, microstructure, and case depth against specified criteria.
- Perform material analysis using techniques such as hardness testing, microstructural evaluation, and case depth measurement.
- Monitor heat treatment processes to ensure consistency and adherence to industry standards.
- **Laser Weld Testing (Metallography):**




- Conduct metallographic analysis of laser-welded joints to assess weld quality, structure, and potential defects.
- Perform non-destructive and destructive testing (macro/microstructure examination) of welded components.
- Generate detailed reports on weld evaluations and recommend corrective actions for quality improvements.
- **Quality Assurance and Reporting:**
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, calibrations, and testing activities.
- Identify and document non-conformities, and support root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 specific to the automotive industry.
- **Process Improvement:**
- Provide recommendations for process enhancements in heat treatment, laser welding, and inspection techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes for efficiency and quality.
- **Equipment Maintenance and Management:**
- Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of CMM machines and other inspection tools.
- Coordinate with suppliers and service providers for advanced equipment maintenance.
