Company Description

We are seeking a energetic and detail-oriented Procurement Executive to manage the sourcing and procurement of essential raw materials for our nutraceutical operations. This role involves both domestic purchasing and international imports of specialty oils, fatty acids, and nutraceutical ingredients.

Role Description

Sourcing & Procurement :

The executive will identify and evaluate suppliers for soya and sunflower deodorizer distillates (DOD), fatty acids, distilled fatty acids, dimers, phytosterols, and other nutraceutical and chemical raw materials. This includes developing and maintaining a robust vendor database, negotiating competitive pricing and payment terms, and managing both domestic and international procurement processes

Import Operations Responsibilities include coordinating with international suppliers and freight forwarders, managing import documentation including letters of credit, bills of lading, and customs clearance, ensuring compliance with import regulations and quality standards, and tracking shipments and resolving logistics issues.

Quality & Compliance :

The role requires ensuring all materials meet specified quality parameters and regulatory requirements, coordinating with the quality control team for sample testing and approval, maintaining documentation for traceability and audit purposes, and staying updated on food safety regulations and nutraceutical industry standards.

Inventory & Planning :

Key tasks include forecasting raw material requirements based on production schedules, maintaining optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess,



monitoring market trends and price fluctuations, and preparing procurement reports and cost analysis.

Vendor Management The executive will build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations, address quality issues and implement corrective actions, and explore opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Chemistry, or related field

• 1-3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, or chemical industries

• Understanding of oleochemicals, fatty acids, and nutraceutical raw materials

• Knowledge of import-export procedures and documentation

• Familiarity with Incoterms and international payment terms

• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for data analysis

• Strong negotiation and communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple suppliers

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ERP systems for procurement management

• Understanding of regulatory requirements for nutraceutical ingredients

• Knowledge of market dynamics for soya, sunflower, and specialty oil derivatives

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail

• Problem-solving abilities and proactive approach
