Metals Market Analyst

with robust expertise in macroeconomic analysis and metals markets to support trading, hedging, and risk management strategies. The role requires deep understanding of

base and precious metals markets , market indicators, and price forecasting to provide actionable insights for business decision-making. Key Responsibilities • Conduct macroeconomic analysis relevant to base and precious metals, covering global growth indicators, inflation, interest rates, FX dynamics, and geopolitical developments. • Analyze fundamental supply–demand trends across non-ferrous and precious metals, including mine production, refining capacity, disruptions, fabrication demand, substitution, and recycling flows. • Monitor physical market indicators such as global exchange inventories (LME, COMEX, SHFE), off-exchange stocks, warehouse movements, premia, treatment/refining charges, freight, and arbitrage flows. • Perform technical analysis to support hedging and trading strategies, including execution strategies, deal structures, and risk management plans. • Develop near- to medium-term price outlooks for

base metals (Copper, Tin, Nickel, Zinc, Lead, Aluminium)

and

precious metals (Gold, Silver, Palladium, Platinum)

with key focus on

Copper, Tin, Nickel, Gold, and Silver .



• Produce market commentary and event analysis on macro data releases, central bank actions, supply shocks, sanctions, and policy developments. • Present actionable insights to internal stakeholders including trading and hedging teams through scenario analysis, sensitivity modelling, and risk-reward assessment. • Build and maintain research frameworks, datasets, and dashboards to ensure high-quality analytical outputs. Required Experience & Qualifications • Minimum

5+ years of experience

in metals research, commodities trading support, or market analysis. • Experience in environments such as

trading desks, production houses, hedge funds, investment banks, or research firms

is preferred. • Strong expertise in

Copper market analysis , with additional exposure to other base or precious metals. • Experience working with

trading, hedging, or risk management teams

and supporting strategy execution. • Familiarity with both

paper markets and physical market indicators

including exchange inventories, premia, and supply-demand signals. • Bachelor’s degree in

Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics . • Advanced qualifications such as

Master’s degree, CFA, FRM, or equivalent
