Role Overview
We are looking for a Marketplace Specialist/ Amazon Ads Expert who will own and scale brand performance across leading e-commerce marketplaces. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in catalog management, marketplace ads, pricing, promotions, analytics, and operations coordination to drive revenue growth, ROAS, and market share for multiple brands.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketplace Operations & Account Management
● End-to-end ownership of seller/vendor accounts on: ○ Amazon (Seller Central & Vendor Central) ○ Flipkart ○ Meesho ○ Myntra ○ Ajio ○ Nykaa / Blinkit / Instamart / Zepto (as applicable)
● Manage product listings, A+ content, brand stores, and storefront optimization
● Ensure account health, policy compliance, and issue resolution (suppressed listings, ASIN blocks, IP claims, violations)
● Coordinate with internal ops teams for order flow, returns, cancellations, and SLA adherence
2. Catalog & Content Management
● Create, optimize, and maintain SEO-friendly product listings ○ Titles, bullet points, descriptions, backend keywords
● Manage variation creation, category mapping, attribute optimization
● Execute A+ Content / Enhanced Brand Content
● Image optimization as per marketplace guidelines (main image, infographics, lifestyle)
● Track and improve catalog quality score / listing quality index
3. Marketplace Advertising (Performance Marketing)
● Plan, execute, and optimize marketplace ad campaigns: ○ Amazon Ads (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, DSP basics) ○ Flipkart PLA & Display Ads ○ Myntra / Ajio Ads
● Keyword research, search term mining, negative keywords
● Campaign structuring: auto, manual, exact, phrase, broad
● Optimize bids,
budgets, placements, and day-parting
● Drive and scale ROAS, ACOS, TACOS, CTR, CVR
● Manage seasonal & event-led campaigns (Prime Day, Big Billion Days, festive sales)
4. Pricing, Promotions & Deals
● Own pricing strategy in line with margins and competitive benchmarks
● Plan and execute: ○ Lightning Deals ○ Deal of the Day ○ Coupons, Prime offers, bank offers ● Track Buy Box performance and price parity across platforms
● Coordinate with brand & supply teams for event calendars
5. Analytics, Reporting & Insights
● Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on: ○ GMV, Revenue, Units Sold ○ ROAS, ACOS, TACOS ○ Conversion Rate, CTR ○ Buy Box %, OOS impact
● Use tools like: ○ Amazon Business Reports ○ Flipkart Ads Dashboard ○ Helium10 / Jungle Scout / DataHawk (good to have) ○ Excel / Google Sheets (advanced)
● Identify growth levers through search term reports, cohort analysis, and funnel drop-offs ● Present insights & action plans to internal teams and clients
6. Inventory & Supply Coordination
● Forecast demand during sales & peak periods
● Monitor stock levels, inbound planning, and OOS prevention
● Coordinate with warehouse / brand ops teams
● Track sell-through rate, aging inventory, and replenishment cycles
7. Client & Stakeholder Management (Agency Side)
● Act as SPOC for assigned marketplace clients
● Prepare monthly performance decks & growth roadmap
● Handle escalations, expectations, and performance discussions
● Work closely with creative, performance, and tech teams 8. Automation, Tools & Process Improvement
● Implement automation for: ○ Bid optimization ○ Reporting dashboards ○ Catalog health monitoring
● Stay updated with recent marketplace features, policies, and ad formats
● Build SOPs and scalable processes for multi-brand management Required Technical Skills ● Strong hands-on experience with: ○ Amazon Seller/Vendor Central ○ Flipkart Seller Hub & Ads
● Deep understanding of: ○ Marketplace algorithms (A9/A10 basics) ○ Buy Box mechanics ○ Attribution windows
● Advanced Excel / Google Sheets: ○ Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, dashboards
● Ads metrics mastery: ○ ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, CTR, CVR
● Experience managing ₹50L+ monthly marketplace GMV (preferred) Good to Have
● Experience with Q-commerce platforms (Blinkit, Instamart, Zepto)
● Knowledge of D2C + Marketplace hybrid strategy
● Exposure to international marketplaces (Amazon UAE, KSA, US) Key KPIs
