Overview The Clinton Health Access Initiative Inc CHAI is a global health organization committed to our mission of saving lives and reducing the burden of disease in low-and middle-income countries We work at the invitation of governments to support them and the private sector to create and sustain high-quality health systems CHAI was founded in 2002 in response to the HIV AIDS epidemic with the goal of dramatically reducing the price of life-saving drugs and increasing access to these medicines in the countries with the highest burden of the disease Over the following two decades CHAI has clintonhealthaccess org Programme Overview India s Universal Immunization Programme UIP is one of the largest public immunization programmes in the world It caters to 27 million infants and 30 million pregnant women The programme provides access to vaccines against 11 Vaccine Preventable Diseases VPDs at the national level and against one VPD at the sub-national level Under the strong leadership of the Ministry of Health Family Welfare MoHFW and state governments the immunization ecosystem has demonstrated a proactive commitment to achieving universal immunization coverage in the country in recent years This includes health system strengthening efforts towards the introduction of recent vaccines rolling out of data systems digitization of vaccine cold chain and inventory management and health worker capacity building MoHFW is also undertaking new initiatives including implementation of an Electronic Immunisation Registry UWIN to track vaccination status introduce new vaccines under the UIP and formulate strategies to address Zero-Dose with a view to reduce VPD cases and improve immunisation outcomes Project Background WJCF s Immunisation Programme in Bihar has supported the Government of Bihar in strengthening data-driven decision-making conducting programmatic reviews and identifying system-level opportunities to enhance immunisation outcomes In the upcoming phase of the engagement the programme will focus on improving the use of data for planning and monitoring at the state level rapid operationalisation of new Cold Chain Points engagement with academic and medical colleges to seek setup partnerships and exploring other platforms of the existing health system to design and integrate feasible viable and high-impact collaborations The overarching goal of this initiative is to help the state achieve and sustain 90 Full Immunization Coverage FIC The programme team will work under the overall guidance of the office of State EPI Officer and provide cross-functional support and leadership to drive improvements across the immunisation value chain Position Summary We are seeking a Senior Analyst M E to join our team The incumbent will support in the development and implementation of M E framework for our program at the state level with the programme leadership This position is ideal for a motivated individual with 3-4 years of relevant work experience who is passionate about global health and data-driven decision-making The Sr Analyst M E Immunization will report to the Program Manager and working closely with Program leadership at the state level to provide analytical support to monitor and evaluate the program progress for the planned learning objectives The Sr Analyst will support the donor and government facing documentation in collaboration with the Program leadership at the state level as well as external disseminations including but not limited to research papers and impact stories The role is based out of New Delhi and requires 10-20 travel to various locations in Bihar Responsibilities Assist in the design and implementation of M E strategies aligned with program work plans Contribute to the development of research tools including protocols and standard operating procedures for evaluation surveys Collaborate with the team members to collect and validate data ensuring accuracy and timeliness Participate in programmatic evaluations and provide support to identify program bottlenecks and solutions Assist in developing new or updating existing M E dashboards for the project Support program staff in data management recording and reporting processes Support the creation of communication materials such as presentations reports and briefs to showcase program results through data analysis Assist in the dissemination of knowledge products to stakeholders at local regional and global levels Collaborate with program teams to document best practices and success stories Participate in the implementation of a learning dissemination plan aligning communication objectives with various stakeholder groups Undertake primary and seconda ry research and deliver data-based insights to provide credible evidence for formulating systems strengthening strategies on immunization Acquire data from public data sources and maintain data sets and support primary data collection from the field Work closely with the programme team for providing effective data analysis against the set objectives and deviations Assimilate and triangulate information from multiple sources to monitor performance and inform strategy refresh where required Collaborate with government to ensure skills transfer and government ownership identify the most critical hurdles to scaling up and develop innovative strategies to address them Co-ordinate project wide outputs related to reporting compliance and updates Qualifications Bachelor s or Master s degree in Statistics Economics Mathematics Science or related discipline is required Minimum 3 years of analytics experience in pharma consulting or other relevant area Excellent analytical qualitative and quantitative and communication written and verbal skills Proficiency in analytical tools such as R STATA Advanced Excel Power BI etc is strongly preferred Working knowledge of statistical methods including descriptive and inferential analysis is required Entrepreneurial mind-set including ability to work independently self-motivate and propose and implement new initiatives Proven track record of working in a challenging multi-stakeholder environments and ability to think strategically handle ambiguity and problem solve in a fast-paced limited-structure Experience structuring and leading evidence-based decision-making processes Willingness to travel at short notice to locations within the state of Bihar or other locations as required by the program leadership High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel PowerPoint and Word Fluency in English Hindi Preferred Masters Advanced degree in data science operations research public health or similar is desirable Experience working in NGO of for-profit with hands-on
