Job Description

Theatro is looking for a talented Big Data (Azure) Technical Support Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit, who is passionate about contributing to the Theatro service experience. In this role, the Big Data Technical Support Engineer will work closely with the Theatro Modern Data Platform Team, Business Intelligence and Dev/Prod Ops engineers to manage, monitor, and optimize the production data and Azure / Synapse infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills combined with experience analyzing and understanding business/technology system architectures and databases in the Azure cloud environment.

Responsibilities Provides resolution results within established Service Level Agreement Guidelines and provide proactive Issue Status updates to required parties

Record and document all issues related to customers within established process guidelines

Trouble-shoot/qualify cases before escalating into Engineering

Work high priority technical issues

Work with Azure DevOps team for production implementation and release activities

Troubleshoot implementation problems

Awareness of Customer business priorities & key events

Customer (internal and external) advocate and represent their needs with internal product teams

Product & Solution Content Creation (KB articles, whitepapers, forum participation)

Requirements Experience (2 years) in Business Analytics application, support, and troubleshooting concepts

Exposure to Azure / Synapse Database Fundamentals and General Troubleshooting (tuning and optimization, deadlocks, keys, normalization) in any Relational Database Engines (MySQL)

At least two years experience in a customer support environment, preferably in a high-tech setting

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

The candidate must be hands-on experienced in Azure Databricks, Pyspark, SparkSQL & Python.

Ability to troubleshoot problems while ensuring customer satisfaction systematically and effectively within stated service level goals

Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is a big plus.

Good to have exposure to Enterprise Data Governance Models

Experience in writing and troubleshooting ETL jobs (Python, Airflow) and complex database SQL scripts. You have a strong python programming background in writing clean, testable code. Develop monitors and build alerts around error conditions and performance.

Designs, runs, and monitors performance tests on new and existing systems for the purpose of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement and general debugging.
