Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Consultant (Functional + Technical)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Consultant with a strong blend of functional finance expertise and technical implementation capabilities . The role involves working closely with US-based clients , including public sector organizations(government / education) , to deliver scalable and compliant financial consolidation and reporting solutions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in HFM implementation, configuration, and support , along with a solid understanding of financial processes, consolidation, and regulatory reporting in a US environment.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

- Lead and support end-to-end HFM implementations including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment
- Work with finance stakeholders to define financial consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and reporting requirements
- Design and configure Chart of Accounts, entity structures, ownership management, and consolidation rules
- Support public sector financial processes , including fund accounting, grants, and compliance reporting
- Conduct workshops with business users and translate requirements into functional specifications
- Drive UAT, training sessions,



and post-go-live support

Technical Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain HFM rules, calculation scripts, and business rules
- Perform data integrations using tools such as FDMEE / ODI / APIs
- Manage metadata management, data loads, and data validations
- Design and develop custom reports and financial statements using Hyperion reporting tools
- Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize system efficiency
- Support system upgrades, patches, and enhancements

Mandatory Skills & Experience

- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
- Proven experience in both Functional (Finance) and Technical (development/configuration) aspects
- Experience working with US-based clients and understanding US financial reporting standards
- Prior experience in Public Sector implementations (Government / Education)
- Knowledge of financial consolidation, close processes, and reporting frameworks
- Hands-on experience with data integration tools (FDMEE / ODI / equivalent)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred)

Good to Have

- Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud / FCCS
- Exposure to Budgeting, Planning, or DRM/EDMCS
- Experience handling large-scale global or multi-entity implementations
- Understanding of compliance frameworks and audit processes
