JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Responsible for overseeing the entire operational quality & Production process, focusing on extending 100% Product delivery and customer satisfaction by delivering quality products. Ensure proper production planning to meet the sales requirements by RM planning, and manpower planning.

Implementing

nQuality control programs, and preparation of training manuals and guidelines in line with ISO standards. Improving the production recipes, testing standerds, team, and costing structure of the plantn

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESCommon Responsibility as an Imerys Employee

Investigating and setting standards of Quality, Health and Safety

n

Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with standards at both domestic and international levels

n

Working with operating staff to establish standards, systems, and procedures

n

Act as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance

n

Directing objectives to maximise profitability

n

Recording, analysing, and distributing statistical information

n

Responsible leader with continuous coaching / mentoring functional and cross-functional teams

n

Assisting plant managers in reaching plant production, Customer satisfaction, and costing goals.

n

Schedule and conduct meetings as and when necessary.

n

Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings.

n

Improve the 5S of your area and overall plant standard, Deploy problem-solving techniques to find an innovative solution

n

Responsible for People management & development.

n

Networking with the other Plant (both internally & externally)

n

Assist the EHS engineer in Risk assessment, safety training and in safety related activities.

n

Quality Function Responsibilities

nAssessing customer requirements and ensuring that the standards are met or exceededn

Writing management and technical reports and customer complaint investigations

n





Determining training needs, conducting routine training for the teams, and self-training for improvements

n

Supervising technical or laboratory staff

n

Responsible for the product quality control for the entire plant

n

Maintaining a clean and safe laboratory

n

Find proactive means of recipe optimization, alternative development , re-formulation, etc

n

Establish and direct Lab policies and procedures

n

10% of the job profile involves travelling. ( RM vendor/Mine visit , Customer visits , QC inspection etc)

n

Production Function Responsibilities

nManaging the resources for the production activities in a shiftn

Manpower planning, allocation and deployment in shifts

n

Production of products as per quality and quantity in shifts

n

Supervising the production activities and ensuring that all activities are carried out as laid down in Standard Operating Procedures

n

Organize workflow and ensure that contract workmen understand their duties or delegated tasks

n

Monitor productivity on a day-to-day basis

n

Training recent contractor workmen in all aspects of EHS, Production, Quality.

n

Production planning, process control, dispatch arrangements, sorting out quality issues after supply.

n

Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance

n

Assist the maintenance team in troubleshooting activities

n

JOB SPECIFICATIONSEducation and Experience requirements:

n

A Bachelor/Master degree in QC/Chemical/Chemistry/Ceramic Engineering/Any similar stream.

n

5-8yrs of experience.

n

Preferably from Sanitary ware, Tiles, Ceramics Mineral processing industry
