Role Overview: Area Sales Manager

As an assistant manager-level professional, you will be the primary driver for the Sensing Solutions portfolio within the Factory Automation department. This role focuses on high-tech industrial components and requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic channel management across Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Revenue & Strategy
- Target Achievement: Take full ownership of sales targets and order bookings for the assigned geography.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual business plans to ensure consistent growth.
- Forecasting: Provide accurate sales forecasts to help the supply chain and management align with market demand.
- Market & Customer Development
- Solution Selling: Move beyond "part selling" to a solution-based approach, identifying specific pain points for recent customers.
- Account Growth: Increase the "wallet share" within existing accounts by introducing more of the product lineup.
- Technical Evangelism: Organize and lead technical seminars and "Tech Days" to demonstrate product superiority to key stakeholders.

- Partner Network:



Manage and grow the relationship with Channel Partners.
- Capability Building: Train and develop partners to ensure they have the technical expertise to sell the sensor lineup effectively.

nTechnical & Functional Scopen

Core Product Knowledge

nYou will be expected to have knowledge in following sensor technologies:n
- Detection: photo sensors, Area Sensors.
- Precision: Measurement sensors
- Specialized: Color/Mark sensors (Imark).
- Safety: Safety light curtains, Safety controllers

nTarget Industries The role focuses heavily on high-speed and precision-driven sectors:n
- Automotive (Assembly lines, robotics).
- Intralogistics (Warehousing, automated sorting).
- Packaging & Printing (High-speed detection, labeling).
