Job Summary: We are looking for aSenior Product Analytics Associate - ADW Development to join our teamtodriveimprovement and valuein theathenahealth product in Chennai. Yourjobwill be to build and enhanceour data models thatsupportProduct Management,Development, Operations, Strategyteams, and athenahealths customers byproviding standardized, high-quality data assets within our Analytics Data Warehouse (ADW).Some ofthethings you willdo includedeveloping star schema datamodels tomake our data accessible to customers;implementing factand dimension tables following strictdata design standards;enhancing existingADW assets tosupportnewproducts/features; and ensuringdatareliability and consistency across ouranalytics environment.

Job Responsibilities
- Work with Product Managers and data consumers to understand business requirements and translate them into effective star schema data models that serve as a source of truth for the organization
- Develop fact and dimension tables in our Analytics Data Warehouse (ADW) following established design patterns and standards
- Implement ETL processes to maintain data freshness and reliability while optimizing performance
- Document data models, lineage, and business definitions to support broader consumption
- Conduct data exploration and profiling to deepen understanding of source data, whether during early discovery on ambiguous requests or post-development for testing, validation, and documentation
- Develop Python-based solutions (e.g., in Jupyter Notebooks) to automate repetitive tasks, improve data validation workflows, and enable the broader team through reusable tooling
- Reinforce the use of standardized data assets and metrics, and help surface and fill gaps as discovered
- Support internal and external stakeholder needs by ensuring our data models meet their analytical requirements
- Develop and manage strong, collaborative relationships with associated product teams
Typical Qualifications
- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling concepts and star schema design patterns
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into well-structured data models
- Demonstrated ability to use data modeling tools and ETL processes to build reliable data assets
- Proficient with SQL optimization techniques to ensure performance at scale
- Experience with data validation techniques, including building and running systematic checks to ensure data quality and integrity across pipeline stages
- Experience in Python programming, with the ability to build automated solutions that improve team efficiency and analytical capabilities
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to various audiences
- Ability to collaborate across a range of audiences, both internal and external, and across a range of cohorts
- Ability to provide sound rationale for design decisions to gain others'' support and commitment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education and experience
- Bachelor''s Degree required; Degree (Bachelor''s or Masters) in quantitative disciplines like Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Analytics, or Information Systems preferred
- Minimum 5+ years overall professional experience, preferably including 2-3 years of data engineering or data warehouse development
- Robust SQL skills with experience building and optimizing data models in a cloud data warehouse environment (Snowflake preferred)
- Experience with ETL tools and processes (Airflow preferred)
- Experience with Python (Jupyter Notebooks preferred) for data analysis, exploration, profiling, and building automated/reusable solutions
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Sigma preferred, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and understanding of how data models support effective visualization
