Job Summary:

We are looking for a Trainee/Junior Software Tester (Manual Testing) who is enthusiastic about building a career in software quality assurance. The candidate must have a basic understanding of software testing concepts and be eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Understand project requirements, functional specifications, and test scenarios
- Execute manual test cases for web and/or desktop applications
- Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
- Validate bug fixes and retest resolved defects
- Prepare and maintain basic test documentation (test cases,



test data, test reports)
- Collaborate with developers and senior QA team members
- Follow QA processes, standards, and best practices
- Participate in training sessions and continuous learning activities

Must Have Skills:

- Basic understanding of Software Testing concepts and SDLC/STLC
- Knowledge of manual testing fundamentals
- Ability to write straightforward test cases and test scenarios
- Basic understanding of bug life cycle
- Familiarity with functional and regression testing
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills

Good to Have Skills:

- Basic knowledge of SQL for simple data validation
- Exposure to test management or defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
- Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS basics)
- Knowledge of API basics or backend testing concepts
- Awareness of Agile/Scrum methodology
- Any certification in Software Testing / QA
