We're seeking a future team member for the role of Associate, Corporate Actions II to join our Market Operations, Securities Lending team. This role is located in Chennai, TN - Hybrid. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Handle day to day tasks and assist business operations to support the delivery. Responsible for processing, monitoring, researching and analyzing transactions and resolving non-complex inquiries. May coordinate with both internal stakeholders and external stakeholders and/or clients to gather, disseminate, and resolve basic information about transactions. Responsible for reconciling the breaks created due to Corporate Action bookings and fixing it. Interacts with custody and counterparties in answering basic questions and resolving straightforward inquiries. No direct reports. Escalates complex issues to senior team members/managers. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to deliver recommendations to basic inquiries. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives. Handle corporate action bookings based upon open loan positions over entitlement date. Ensure proceeds are claimed from counterparties and cash collateral is paid for all redemption events.
Should be able to understand the global corporate action process of all types i.e., both mandatory and voluntary Should be adaptable to work in rotational shifts. Ensure daily checklists are signed off for the responsible activities. Ask questions to the supervisors/manager when in doubt and clarify them. Ensure emails are actioned promptly. Cash payments swifts experience like MT202, MT202 cov. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Masters / Bachelor's degree in Science, Commerce, Financial Management. 3-7 years' experience with Custodian / Investment bank (Securities Lending Corporate Action operations) Get trained and handle all daily business operations with a sense of commitment and ownership. Experience / Acumen towards Operations and Technology initiatives. Must be flexible to do any shift (including night shift). At BNY, our culture speaks for itself.
