Hiring: Engineering Manager – C++ Applications

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager – C++ Applications to lead teams developing scalable, high-throughput backend systems in the travel and financial domain.
About the Role
In this role, you will lead engineering teams responsible for building and operating mission-critical financial systems that handle real-time passenger revenue accounting, interline billing, and financial reporting.
This is a high-impact leadership role combining people management, technical ownership, and delivery excellence to ensure systems are accurate, scalable, and highly reliable.
Key Responsibilities
People & Team Leadership
Lead and mentor cross-functional agile teams (C++ Engineers, QA, Business Analysts)
Drive performance management, career development, and succession planning
Actively contribute to hiring, onboarding, and team scaling
Build a solid culture of ownership, quality, and operational excellence
Delivery & Execution
Own end-to-end delivery aligned with product roadmaps
Drive sprint planning and execution in an Agile/Scrum setup
Manage risks, dependencies, and regulatory constraints
Ensure high standards in architecture, code quality, and testing
Provide clear visibility on progress, risks, and production readiness
Technical & Architectural Leadership
Own technical delivery of C++ applications on Linux/Unix platforms
Review system designs and ensure alignment with architecture standards
Promote secure, observable, and operable systems




Collaborate with architects to evolve technical roadmap
Support resolution of critical production incidents
Stakeholder Collaboration
Act as the primary point of contact for product and business stakeholders
Work closely with R&D;, operations, and support teams
Provide data-driven updates and risk assessments
Contribute to roadmap planning and cross-team alignment
️ Skills & Qualifications
✅ Required
Strong hands-on experience in C++ with solid OOP fundamentals
Experience working on Linux/Unix systems
Strong knowledge of:
Data structures & algorithms
Multithreading & performance tuning
Experience with relational databases (Oracle/MySQL)
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
⭐ Nice to Have
Cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP
Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
REST APIs and distributed systems
Experience in financial systems / airline domain
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science (B.E / B.Tech / MCA)
10–14+ years of relevant experience
Prior experience as an Engineering Manager preferred
Experience in high-availability, business-critical systems is a strong plus
